Cochrane RCMP – Make second arrest in relation to homicide


Stoney Nakoda First Nation, Alberta – A 17-year-old youth of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation who was wanted on a warrant in relation to the homicide of Kori Wesley has been arrested.

On August 11, 2016 the youth was arrested in Red Deer City by Red Deer RCMP with the assistance of Police Dog Services.  The youth, who cannot be named, is currently in police custody and a judicial interim release hearing will be held.

This investigation remains ongoing.  The “K Division” Interview Assistance Team and Forensic Identification Services are assisting Southern Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit.
