EDMONTON, AB: Wildrose Leader Brian Jean released the following statement after Premier Rachel Notley refused to shut down the NDP’s controversial Bill 6 and consult with farmers and ranchers about any future changes:
“From every corner of the province, farmers and ranchers have one clear message for the government: kill Bill 6.
“These are the moms and dads, the men and women who feed us every day and they deserve our respect. They have one simple request, to be listened to, to be consulted about legislation that will have a dramatic impact on their way of life.
“Every single Wildrose MLA will continue to fight Bill 6 and speak against it every day until Ms. Notley and the NDP begin to do the right thing.”
