Wildrose Responds to Ridesharing Regulations Being Passed

EDMONTON, AB: Following the release of the NDP government’s regulations for ridesharing services in the province, Wildrose Shadow Infrastructure Minister Dave Schneider released the following statement:

“Following a delay of many months where a void was created in Alberta’s ridesharing industry due solely to the NDP government dragging its feet, it’s a relief to see these regulations passed.

“Wildrose continues to have concerns surrounding unnecessary red tape and regulatory burdens for ridesharing companies wishing to operate in the province.

“We are, however, relieved to see that there is finally a path forward for ridesharing companies, albeit one with regulatory burden, which offers more choice and competitiveness to the Alberta market.”
