What Do You Think About Visibility Lighting at Hwy 22 & Priddis Valley Road?
Interested in your opinion… Do you support having a street light at the intersection of Highway 22 and Priddis Valley Road?
Our bridge expansion request for Hwy 22 over Fish Creek, under the jurisdiction of Alberta Transportation (AT), has been engineered, but continues to sit on a long waiting list. In the meantime, we have advocated and gotten bridge and delineator reflectors to a state of good repair, requested and gotten the centre-line painted as a double line, and suggested numerous other measures that unfortunately do not fit with AT guidelines (eg. flashing light).
An idea that has been discussed as a measure to make the best with what we currently have, is to add lighting at the SE corner of the intersection. We will have to make a request of AT to make this addition and are subject to their specifications, etc.
Just want to hear from residents about your interest in this idea…
Speed Enforcement in the NW
You may have noticed that our Protective Services is making a presence in our area with road tubes and speed signs at Priddis, Priddis Greens, Hawk’s Landing and Priddis Creek Estates. This is a chance for all of us to think about slowing down and safe driving.
