Warrant Issued in Kijiji Concert Ticket Frauds

 

Airdrie, Alberta – The RCMP is requesting victims of Kijiji concert ticket frauds contact police.

Since August of 2014, Airdrie RCMP has received numerous complaints of fraudulent concert ticket sales through Kijiji.

In all occurrences, victims located ads for upcoming concerts in Calgary through the online service Kijiji. Victims then met the suspect outside of a Mackenzie Way apartment complex. Victims paid the suspect and received what appeared to be concert tickets. In each instance, the suspect provided ID to the victims. The victims later discovered the tickets were fake.

Investigations by Airdrie City RCMP lead to a warrant for six counts of Fraud Under $5000.00 being issued for David LINFOOT, 29, of unknown address.

LINFOOT is described as;

·         Caucasian

·         180 cm

·         73 kg

·         Brown hair

·         Blue eyes

Investigators are requesting anyone who has potentially been a victim, or with information as to LINFOOT’s whereabouts please contact the Airdrie RCMP.
