Date: Saturday, June 11th, 2016
Time: 1 pm MDT
Rallying Point: Celebration Square (C Square) – 502 7th Ave. SE, Calgary

Veterans Emergency Transition Services Canada (VETS Canada) is holding the first Coast to Coast Tour of Duty; a National walk in search of Veterans living homeless/in-crisis. Walks will be held at 1 pm local time in the following cities: St. John’s, Halifax, Charlottetown, Fredericton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. “VETS Canada’s Coast to Coast 2016 Tour of Duty is in response to a serious national issue, and based on the reported 2250 Veterans experiencing homelessness,” says Jim Lowther, VETS Canada Co-Founder/ CEO & President. “One Veteran living on the streets is simply one too many; those who have protected our homes should never be without one. This Tour is to encourage dialogue at both the community and national level, and to locate these Veterans who need our help. Now is the time to take action.”

VETS Canada is a national charity and service provider of Veterans Affairs Canada that has assisted hundreds of homeless & in-crisis Veterans since 2010.
