Turner Valley School Welcomes Five New Teachers

WELCOME NEW TEACHERS!

Mr. Chase Ellis Vice Principal

I am very excited to be part of the Turner Valley School community. I have been teaching grade 6 for the last 6 years at C. Ian Mclaren school in Black Diamond, during this time I also taught K-6 Phys Ed. had the role of instructional coach and took over as acting vice principal for a short period of time. I have always been passionate about coaching and playing sports, during my time at CIM I coached flag football, basketball and volleyball and will continue to be involved in these sports in my new role here at Turner Valley. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family at our home in High River. My wife and I have a three year old son and twin girls who just turned 1 in August so there is a lot of fun to be had, even though it can feel like a track meet at times. I am proud to be part of the Turner Valley team; it’s going to be a great year!

Mrs. Jennifer Park Kindergarten

Hello Turner Valley School, My name is Mrs. Jennifer Park and I am new to the school this year.

I have been teaching for 7 years now. I started off my teaching career as a Grade 2 teacher, then I changed to Junior High and taught grades 7-9, then last year I went back to elementary school and taught grades 1-3. In between my 7 years of teaching, I had two beautiful daughters who are now 4 and 15 months old. I love teaching elementary school and am so excited to be working with such a great school. I am looking forward to a wonderful year and getting to know all the families in our school.
