Turner Valley School – Principal’s Message: June 2015

A community of lifelong learners prepared to succeed in the 21st Century through dynamic and
engaging school experiences in a respectful and supportive environment.

Time flies when you’re having fun! It seems like just yesterday we were greeting and meeting everyone to begin the year. So much has happened in the last 10 months and now here we are, at the end of another great year at Turner Valley School. We have so much to reflect upon, be thankful for, and to celebrate.

The month of June holds a lot of learning, assessments, activities and trips. The Grade 6 class also has the provincial achievement tests. As the month rushes by, we hope everyone reflects on the great accomplishments that have occurred this year, as there have been many. If you haven’t had a chance to view our ‘brick wall’ please come do so as it highlights student achievements. Students have grown, and not just academically, relationships have been formed, and memories made. We are continually impressed with the kindness our students exhibit and the excitement and exuberance they display coming in our doors every day.

We would like to take this opportunity to send a special thank you to those parents who have volunteered their time. We cannot thank you enough for being partners with us in educating not only your child but many others as well. You make our school a better place. We also appreciate parent council for another amazing year, the school has greatly benefited from their time and decisions to help improve the school.

There is no doubt that the summer months will come and go just as quickly as this school year has passed, and we will be greeting many of you in September before we know it. We sincerely wish you all a wonderful summer filled with family, friends, and new adventures. Here’s to looking forward to the 2015-2016 school year!

Yours in Education!
James Holladay and Chase Ellis
