Believe it or not, the end of another school year is clearly on the horizon. A glance at the school calendar will confirm, June is easily among the busiest months of any school’s year. In the space of the next 4 weeks courses wrap up, year-end exams are completed and marked, awards celebrated, field trips enjoyed/survived and final reports written. Even with all of this going on we have so much to reflect upon, be thankful for, and to celebrate.
The month of June is very busy here at Turner Valley School as there are a lot of assessments, activities and trips. The Grade 6 class also has the provincial achievement tests on June 15, 16, 17 and 20. As we cruise towards summer, we hope everyone takes time to reflect on all of the outstanding learning that has occurred throughout the year. Our staff, students and families have worked tremendously hard in order to make this a successful school year. If you haven’t had a chance to view our ‘brick wall’ please come do so as it highlights some of the amazing accomplishments of our students. Throughout the year we have seen such growth in our students not just academically, but socially and emotionally. Bonds and connections have been formed and memories have been made. We are so proud of the kindness, dedication and enthusiasm of our students and all of those in our school community. Turner Valley School truly is a great place to learn and grow.
We would like to take this opportunity to send a special thank you to all of those who have volunteered their time and energy throughout the year. We cannot thank you enough for being partners with us in the learning of our students. You truly make our school a better place. We also appreciate parent council for another outstanding year, the school has greatly benefited from their time, decision making and feedback. Thank you for all you’ve done for our school community.
There is no doubt that the summer months will come and go just as quickly as this school year has passed, and we will be greeting many of you in September before we know it. We sincerely wish you all a wonderful summer filled with family, friends, and new adventures. Here’s looking forward to 2016-2017 school year!
Yours in Education!
