Kananaskis in the Classroom ~ “Planet Earth-Hummingbird Edition”
We will be joining Kananaskis country’s famous naturalist ‘David Humming-borough’ as he dives deeper into the world of hummingbirds. These interactive presentations are always a hit with the whole school. Watch him in the documentary as he looks closer at the courtship, parenting and pollination skills of the world’s smallest birds.
Kananaskis in the Classroom brings parks to schools throughout the Calgary area. Their mission is to sow the seeds of environmental stewardship with theatrical presentations and classroom sessions.
Each program begins with a 50-minute musical theatre presentation followed by small group sessions in the classroom. Their high-energy, educational and fun show is for the entire school to enjoy. This presentation promises to give students a deeper understanding of the needs of plants & animals, small crawling & flying animals, and animal life cycles related to the world’s smallest birds.
