Turner Valley School News – Spring has Arrived

The month of May has arrived with great weather and opportunities for us to be outside. May also promises to be a busy time here at Turner Valley School as well. But first I want to say a big thank-you to those that helped with the spring theater production. What a great show, the kids really did an outstanding performance and the support through the whole process was tremendous. What an amazing opportunity for kids to experience something of that magnitude.

If you look at the calendar on the website you will see that there are many field trips and interesting learning experiences (including some tests) on the horizon this month. In particular we are looking forward to the bike rodeo on Tuesday May 10th.

Finally, as we spring into May we must think about the end of our school year. It is not too early for students to begin a review process at home to prepare for the assessments in June. It is also important that students have a plan to keep reading throughout the summer months to keep their reading skills as sharp as possible. A number of celebratory and culminating events are in the planning stages. We welcome parents to call or visit our school any time.
