Best wishes for a Joyous Holiday
From the Staff at
Turner Valley School
Christmas Vacation Dec.19-Jan. 4, 2015
Administrator’s Message:
Greetings to all of our Turner Valley families! It’s hard to believe that we are already into the winter holiday season. Fall has been very busy for our staff, students, and volunteers. I would just like to say to all our volunteers how thankful we all are to have you. Our school is so successful due to the tremendous amount of volunteering done by our parent community. I would also like to say that our Remembrance Day ceremony was a great success. Thanks to all who attended.
Archery club has had such a great turnout we are now offering it to grades 4-6 and running it two nights a week. Choir and French Club also have started and kids are really enjoying them. Student led conferences were another great success, with students moving towards taking more ownership for their learning, which is wonderful to see. December 12th is a PD day and December 17th is the Christmas Concert. The concert should be wonderful and students are already excited for it. Oh, in case anyone forgot, the holidays start Dec 19th at 12pm (early dismissal), with school resuming January 5th.
As the holidays sneak closer, it is during this time of year when we reflect on what is really important within our lives. This is the time of year when we reach out with kind acts of service, and are thankful for the blessings within our lives. We need to remember that real wealth is having loved ones. In the end, the only thing that really matters is the love we share with those around us; especially our children, and they will not be children for long – so cherish the moments. Please take the time to tell your child how much they are valued and loved, we can never tell them too often. Every child that walks through our school door every day is an amazing, special, unique, talented and wonderful child. And every one of them deserves the best we can offer. I hope everyone enjoys the season upon us.
Happy Holidays,
Your TVS Admin Team,
James Holladay and Chase Ellis
