Turner Valley RCMP – Repeat Property Crime Offender Apprehended

Turner Valley, AB – On February 26, 2019 shortly after 8:00pm, a member of the public reported 2 suspicious vehicles south of Black Diamond.  The drivers of a white Chevrolet Avalanche and a red Dodge Durango were believed to be impaired by alcohol or drugs at the time.  The two vehicles fled from police on Fire Guard Rd.  The driver of the stolen Durango lost control in a corner and crashed into the trees.  The male driver, Michael ZIELINSKI (45), fled on foot and was subsequently located with the assistance of the Police Service Dog.  ZIELINSKI is well known to police and had recently been released from custody on February 9 2019.  He has since been charged with Failing to Stop for Police, Drive while Prohibited and Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.  His next court appearance is scheduled for March 26, 2019.  The female driver of the white Avalanche evaded from police.
