Turner Valley Postpones Events and Pool Opening

As the Government of Alberta’s restrictions on gatherings remain in place, the Town continues to comply with all provincial guidelines on physical distancing. The recent decision by Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer to keep these restrictions in place until the end of summer means all events will be postponed until at least the end of August.

Council will re-evaluate the possibility of hosting Discovery Day and other events planned for later in the year at its June 1 meeting, considering further recommendations from the Government of Alberta at that time. Any events planned to be held in Turner Valley will not take place until the restrictions on gatherings are removed.

The Dr. Lander Memorial Pool will also remain closed until the Province’s gathering restrictions have been lifted.
