Town of Okotoks Receives Silver Level Certification from Excellence Canada

Since 2012, the Town of Okotoks has been working diligently to achieve silver certification through Excellence Canada’s Excellence, Innovation and Wellness program.

This world-class program evaluates organizational excellence through a multi-year process consisting of four levels of achievement: bronze, silver, gold & platinum.

On Monday, August 18, the Town was awarded silver status by Rory Mauricio, Excellence Canada Executive Director for Alberta.

“Congratulations to the Town of Okotoks for being recognized with a Silver Level Excellence, Innovation and Wellness certificate nation-wide by Excellence Canada. You have joined select company as a recipient of Canada’s pre-eminent recognition program for organizational excellence. This achievement demonstrates the Town’s continued dedication to excellence, innovation and wellness in support of the citizens of your town.” said Mr. Mauricio.

Achieving this status means that the Town has succeeded in enhancing the areas of Leadership & Governance, Strategy & Planning, Process & Project Management, Customer Experience, Partners & Suppliers and People Engagement.

“On behalf of Council and administration, I would like to commend all Town of Okotoks staff for their exemplary efforts toward continuous improvement, organizational excellence and wellness,” said Municipal Manager, Rick Quail.

Excellence Canada was established in 1992 to provide best practices that can help Canadian organizations to achieve world-class performance. This commitment has resulted in a growing demand for access to benchmarking and organizational excellence programing.
