HIGH RIVER, AB: Operations staff have been working diligently to keep High River’s roads and pathways clear of ice and snow during the winter season.
It has been a long winter with record levels of snowfall and some frustration among residents is understandable. The Town would like to remind the community that verbal abuse or aggressive behaviour toward Town staff is unacceptable.
Operations staff and subcontractors are working to address concerns in a timely manner. The Town asks that staff be allowed to perform their duties without interruption. For everyone’s safety, residents are also asked to stay clear of equipment.
Due to this season’s above average snowfall, the Town realizes there is an opportunity to re-examine its policies on snow removal. Town staff are gathering data to present to Council in order to review the Snow and Ice Control Policy for next season.
The Town thanks residents for their patience and encourages all community members to value and respect the safety of the public and Town staff.
Concerns can be reported directly to the Town’s Operations Division at operations@highriver.ca or 403-652-4657. Visit the Town of High River website to learn more about Snow and Ice Control.
