Toronto went to the polls and have elected John Tory as their new mayor. John won 40.3% of the votes with 395,141. He was followed by Doug Ford, former Mayor Rob Ford’s brother, with 331,020 votes or 33.7%. Olivia Chow won 23.1% with 227,096 votes. These results were posted with only one polling station left to check in so the official numbers may change.
