HIGH RIVER, AB: Production crews from Kudos Film and Television will arrive in High River on July 11 to film episode two of the new ‘Tin Star’ series.
Crews will move their work trucks into town and park in the gravel lot between 128/130 4 Avenue S.W., and the lot south of High River United Church at 135 Macleod Trail S.W.
The majority of filming will take place inside 111 3 Avenue S.W. (inside the former Vespucci’s building), from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15.
Additional scenes will be filmed outside on Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. on 1 Street S.W. and 4 Avenue S.W. Crews will then move inside 103 3 Avenue S.W. from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
These additional scenes will require some intermittent traffic control to ensure continuity of picture. The scenes will also require parking restrictions on 1 Street S.W. from 4 Avenue to 6 Avenue S.W. and a road closure on 3 Avenue S.W. from 1 Street to Macleod Trail S.W. on the Thursday and Friday.
These brief closures and changes to parking are only temporary and the cooperation of High River residents and downtown shoppers is appreciated.
‘Tin Star’ is produced by Kudos Film and Television and was created by acclaimed British director and screenwriter Rowan Joffe. The show is described as ‘an epic tale of deception, betrayal, murder and revenge set against the backdrop of remote and beautiful Canadian mountain town.’ The series will star Tim Roth; who is known for his roles in ‘The Hateful Eight,’ ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’ and Christina Hendricks; known for her roles in ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Drive.’
