Calgary, AB – Easter Seals Alberta has learned that a third-party marketing company called Global Industries Quantum, also known as Global Industries, has been selling chocolate bars door-to-door to Alberta residents naming Easter Seals Alberta as a receiving charity of part of the proceeds.

Easter Seals Alberta is no way affiliated with any organization that is involved with door-to-door chocolate bar sales.

“We have no relationship or agreement with Global Industries Quantum and are not involved with selling chocolate bars”, says Susan Boivin, CEO of Easter Seals Alberta. “We have not received any donations from chocolate bar sales and consumers should be aware that the information they are being given is completely false.”

Unlike registered charities, third-party marketers who raise money for charities are under no legal obligation to report sales figures or to prove what percentage of proceeds are then given to charitable organizations.
