The Town of Okotoks: Be a Responsible Pet Owner

Pet litter is a significant health concern as it can transmit 15 different species of parasites to humans. It is also an unsightly mess in our parks and along our pathways.

WHAT YOU CAN DO!

  • Clean up yards and litter boxes frequently.
  • Clean up after pets in public areas using bags and gloves.
  • Keep pets away from school grounds, children’s play areas and sports areas.
  • Wash your hands frequently.

DID YOU KNOW?

The Town has provided “Doggie Do” bags and drop off stations throughout our parks.
