The Beatles in Strathmore 2015: 55 Plus Games Proud to Present Britain’s Finest

The 55 Plus Summer Games organizers are proud to be presenting Britain’s Finest, a Beatles tribute band, on June 20, 2015.

“We were looking for a top notch band for the games and their name came up and after seeing them on YouTube we’re sold they are awesome,” said Linda Storkson, a volunteer and fundraising committee member with the Games.

“This will be the first time that we actually break into the Canadian market, so we’re hoping that we can add more dates while we’re in Canada and finally see our neighbours up north,” said Robert Bielma, who portrays George Harrison on stage. Touted as one of the most authentic Beatles Tribute bands to emerge in the last 20 years, Britain’s Finest members have it all, the look, the sound and the style. It’s like watching the Beatles live. Tyson Kelley who portrays John Lennon, Benjiman Chadwick as Paul McCartney and Luis Renteria as Ringo Starr. Bielma said they promise to give the complete Beatles experience, with the performances kept true to what the Beatles themselves would do, right down to the jokes on stage.

The concert will be held on the gold side of the arena at the Family Centre on June 20. Tickets will be selling for $35, though the ticket release date is still to be determined. This will be one of the final fundraisers for the 55 Plus Summer Games committee before the games, which are being held in Strathmore July 16-19, 2015.
