Saddlebrook Bus Service
The bus service between the Saddlebrook Temporary Neighbourhood and High River will be ending with the closure of Saddlebrook. The service, provided by the Government of Alberta, was established to facilitate the travel of Saddlebrook residents to and from High River for school, work, appointments and community activities. Saddlebrook is expected to close on August 22. Once the service has ended there will be no service throughout town and the bus stop signs will be removed.
Temporary Business Park
Another service that was a temporary fix after the flood is also closing soon. The temporary business park along 1st Street south of the Museum of the Highwood will be folding their tents. Some of the businesses are still not ready to move back into their downtown locations and will find alternate accommodations until their space is restored. The park will begin dismantling on August 19th and the entire process is expected to take a month.
