Taber RCMP swear charges against driver in fatal collision

Taber, Alberta – RCMP have charged 58 year old, Roy McClusky, of Lethbridge Alberta. McClusky has been charged with 2 Counts of Dangerous Driving Causing Death under section 249(4) of the Criminal Code and;
2 Counts of Section Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm, under section 249(3) of the Criminal Code.
These charges are in relation to the fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on December 5, 2015 on Highway 3, East of Taber, AB.

McClusky is not in police custody and will make his first court appearance on January 26, 2016 in Taber Provincial Court.

Taber RCMP have confirmed that two Coaldale residents died as a result of a serious Motor Vehicle Collision on December 5, 2015 on Highway 3, approximately 15 km east of Taber, AB. A 33 year male along with a 5 year male child, both of Coaldale, AB were pronounced deceased at the scene. A 3 yr old child travelling in the same vehicle was airlifted to Calgary hospital via STARS with non life threatening injuries and is recovering. Two other female subjects were also transported to hospital and their extend of injuries are unknown at this time.

Road and weather condition where not a factor, Alcohol was not a factor. RCMP continu their investigation into the motor vehicle collision, and charges are pending. Names of the persons involved will not be released at this time.
