On Tuesday, October 28th there is a public meeting on the SW Calgary Ring Road at Spruce Meadows. The meeting is scheduled to run from 4:30 to 8:00pm at the British House. For a list of other meetings on the Ring Road go to the Alberta Transportation website.
The M.D. of Foothills Public Works Staff are meeting with Alberta Transportation monthly on this, advising Council and making sure that M.D. of Foothills residents and municipal road concerns are considered in the design. Recently, I wrote a letter to Alberta Transportation, which was submitted by our council, to request that Dark Sky lighting be used on the ring road.
