Strathmore RCMP & Strathmore Fire Department Battle on Ice for Local Charities

Strathmore, Alta. – Strathmore RCMP and Strathmore Fire Department are hosting a charity hockey game at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena this Sunday, February 10, 2019.  This event is the town’s first ever “Battle of the Badges”.

Admission to the event will be a monetary donation at the door, and the evening will also offer family friendly entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction.  All proceeds will go to the Strathmore Youth & Family Hub and the Wheatland County Food Bank.  Doors open at 5:45 pm, and the Opening Ceremonies begin at 6:15 pm.

“This event was organized simply as a fun way for us to give back to the community by raising money for local charities”, says Cst. Denzil Morey, Strathmore RCMP Media Relations Officer.  “It also gives the community an opportunity to see and interact with the RCMP and the Fire Department in a positive and entertaining setting.  It’s shaping up to be quite an exciting evening!”
