Strathmore RCMP Recover Stolen Skis and Snowboards


On January 20, 2019, Strathmore RCMP entered into an investigation relating to potential stolen skis being posted for sale on Kijiji. Through investigation, on January 21, 2019, Strathmore RCMP were able to identify and arrest two youths who have been charged in relation to being in possession of the stolen skis. Strathmore RCMP were able to recover 10 pairs of skis and 3 snowboards which were believed to be stolen from the Fernie ski resort in B.C. on January 19, 2019.
Strathmore RCMP are now working on identifying and returning the stolen skis to their rightful owners.  The total value of the property recovered was approximately $17000.
