Spitzee Supports Nunavut School

At the recent Spitzee School Council meeting, Trustee Doug Gardner and Superintendent John Bailey were pleased to learn of an impressive project by Spitzee’s Gr. 4/5 students who are assembling “Good Food Boxes” for a small school in Nunavut. The idea stems from a class project examining the astronomical prices of common food items due to the high cost of shipping them to the remote north. Going forward, students plan to send care packages to the Nunavut school several times per year.
