Traffic will be redirected on two sections of the Southwest Calgary Ring Road on Dec. 9 as construction continues.

From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., traffic will be redirected at 37 Street SW, between Anderson Road and Fish Creek Boulevard SW, through a portion of the new interchange at 37 Street SW and 130 Avenue SW. Both northbound and southbound traffic on 37 Street SW accessing the Woodbine community will detour via Buffalo Run Boulevard to access 130 Avenue SW.
Speed will be reduced to 60 kilometres per hour in both areas as traffic is shifted onto new roads and bridges for construction of permanent lanes of the ring road. Signage will be in place to guide the new traffic flow.
These changes are scheduled outside of peak travel hours to reduce impacts on drivers.
Drivers should allow extra time for travel, obey all traffic signs and signals and watch for workers on the road.
