Lake Louise RCMP respond to a male falling out of a canoe – Update 1

Lake Louise, Alberta – The deceased has been identified as a 62 year old male from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  The male was travelling alone at the time.  Next of kin has been notified and the name of the deceased will not be released.  The male was not wearing a personal flotation device when he was found in the water, but one was observed floating in the area.

Airdrie RCMP Requesting Assistance to Identify Suspect

Airdrie, Alberta- On May 31st, 2016, Airdrie RCMP investigated a Break and Enter to Vehicle in an underground parking garage involving a male and female suspect.

Video surveillance was collected from the Main Street Shell station, where the male suspect used a stolen credit card that was taken from the entered vehicle.

The male suspect is described as;

  • Male
  • Caucasian
  • 30’s
  • Short brown hair, goatee
  • Wearing a grey sweater and orange t-shirt

Gleichen RCMP Investigate Sudden Death

Gleichen, AB – This morning, at approximately 10:11 A.M., members of the Gleichen RCMP responded to a report that the body of a 43-year-old man had been located in the bushes in an area north of the train tracks in town.

Police arrived on scene and found the man, who was deceased, in an area which is well-known to local residents.  The man was identified and police are in the process of investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.  Siksika Crisis Victims Services are assisting the man’s family and friends at this most difficult time.

An autopsy will be conducted at the Office of the Medical Examiner in Calgary at a date yet to be determined.

No additional details are available at this time, however, should new information pertaining to any criminal charges be confirmed through the ongoing investigation, an update will be provided.
