HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town Parks Department will be out in the community this week to remove and control noxious weeds on the Centre Street corridor north of the bridge and in Wallaceville up to Eagle View Estates.
Blue Weed, which often grows in transportation corridors, will be pulled, bagged and brought to an appropriate landfill to be sprayed with herbicide.
The Parks Department performs an integrated pest management approach to controlling weeds and insects. Responsible weed control is important in insuring that the Town of High River is not contributing to invasive weed and pest species that can be prevalent in Alberta.
