Although the Royal LePage Foothills Real Estate brokerage has closed it’s doors the local offices in Black Diamond and Okotoks will remain open.
The Realtors at those two offices will be switching their licences to another Royal LePage brokerage in Calgary.
Colin Rollo, Realtor at the Black Diamond office said, “No problem, just a change in brokerage. The transition will go without a hiccup.”
Home owners will simply see a change in the paperwork. Deposits are safe, of course, because they are held in trust so the doors closing on the Foothills brokerage will have little impact at the local level.
All Realtors in Alberta are individuals who hold the qualification of real estate associate; are licensed as a real estate associate with RECA (Real Estate Coubcil of Alberta); are employed by or associate with a licensed real estate brokerage in Alberta and are registered with and approved to trade in real estate on behalf of that brokerage.
