Rowan House would like to thank everyone who came out for our inaugural One Billion Rising event. We had a great turn-out for the march to raise awareness about violence against women, and we feel there was quite a positive response from people we passed through town.

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Ed and Debbie Sands. We know it’s not easy for them to share the story of their daughter, Amy, and how bullying, drugs and abusive relationships ultimately took her life. However, it’s such a powerful story evidencing violence does occur here in the Foothills and prevention and awareness are key to ending the cycle.
