Rowan House Hope & Healing Gala Over 50% Sold!

Emergency Shelter Hopes for First Ever Sell-Out Event

High River, AB – 2015 is shaping up to be a great year for the Rowan House Hope and Healing Gala committee. The annual fundraiser is still 7 weeks away and the event is already over 50 percent sold.

The planners behind the gala are crossing their fingers for their first ever sell-out. “This is our 7th year holding the event and each year it gets a little better,” says Executive Director, Sherrie Botten. “We’ve never been able to sell-out though, so that would be a real feather in our caps.”

While it’s exciting to reach such a milestone, Botten says it’s much more important than that. “The gala is our biggest fundraiser. There will be no increase in our government funding for the upcoming fiscal year, and we’re already seeing the impact the most recent economic downturn is having on the families we serve. We want to ensure we’re still able to provide the same level of care to those leaving abusive situations.”

“We are also aware that our donors are impacted by the economy and we are blown away by the support we are continuing to receive,” she adds.

Attendees can expect another fun and informative evening. Tickets are $200 each or $1,400 for a table of 8 and can be purchased at www.rowanhouse.ca.
