Rogers Hometown Hockey Week

Monday, February 18, 2019 – 9:30am to Sunday, February 24, 2019 – 8:00pm

Rogers Hometown Hockey is this week in Okotoks and you can expect a great week of FREE hockey-related activities, NHL Alumni appearances, music, and fun for the whole family!

Check out how the Town and community have designed a week full of activities leading up to the big weekend event.  Keep checking for more updates!

Event road closures:   McRae Street, and North Railway Street between Veterans Way and Daggett Street will be closed to vehicles from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from February 21-February 24.

Downtown Event Zone

  • February 22: Badges (Fire Services, Okotoks Municipal Enforcement, & RCMP) vs. Okotoks Youth ball hockey game 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • February 23 & 24:  Rogers Hometown Hockey Festival- 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
  • February 23 & 24:  Okotoks Art Council Team Jersey & Mascot Design contest–Winner announced at 3:30 p.m. on February 24.  Download the mascot  and jersey  images  and return to booth.
  • February 24: Coach’s Clinic with Darryl Sutter 11:00-11:45 a.m. (location TBD)
  • February 23 & 24: Scheduled games in the Ball Hockey Rink (schedule TBD)
  • February 24: Parade of Champions with the OMHA

At the Okotoks Public Library

  • February 14-23: Design Don Cherry’s Suit coloring contest –pick up sheet at OPL
  • February 23: 
    • Cookie Decorating Noon-3:00 p.m.
    • Hockey-themed crafts Noon-5:00 p.m.
    • Family Movie: The Mighty Ducks 2:00-4:00 p.m.
  • February 24: 
    • Hockey-themed crafts 1:00-5:00 p.m.
    • Family Movie: MVP-Most Valuable Primate 2:00-4:00 p.m.

At the Pason Centennial Arenas

  • February 22: Okotoks Oilers Jr A vs. Calgary Mustangs 7:00 p.m.
  • February 23:  Okotoks Minor Hockey Association games 3:45 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (visit OMHA website HERE  for details)

  • O Canada Exhibit at Lineham Galleries opens February 23 and runs until March 13.  For more details, click here
