On July 15th, 2014 a group from Hobbema (Maskwacis) on a canoeing trip stopped to camp near the Saunders area approximately 50 km west of Rocky Mountain House. A 15 year old youth left the camping area and did not return so RCMP were notified at 23:51.
The youth went to his tent and when supervisors checked on him they discovered he had packed his things and left. CPS helicopter assisted last night with a FLUR search. Search and rescue, RCMP
Police dog service and RCMP jet boat is presently out searching.
