Attention All Business Owners,
Turner Valley RCMP wish to make all local business owners aware of recent incidents in which counterfeit monies were used.
At two separate businesses in the Town of Black Diamond, a suspect passed what are suspected to be fake US bills, in denominations of $50 & $100. It is believed the same suspect passed both bills and attempted to use them at other businesses within the Town.
This is a reminder to anyone accepting such currency to pay close attention and refuse to accept it if they have any suspicions it may be fake. There are various online resources available to assist in the detection of fraudulent currency and anyone handling/accepting money on a regular basis is encouraged to make themselves familiar with the warning signs.
