On Monday July 25th, 2016 at approximately 08:15, Strathmore RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision at Township Road 221 and Range Road 265 in Wheatland County.
A Tractor Trailer unit turned in front of an east bound passenger car which then collided with the side of the Tractor Trailer. The driver of the of car, a male in his 40’s from Calgary, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other persons were injured in the accident.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for several hours as Strathmore RCMP and a Collision Analyst continue to investigate. Charges are pending against the driver of the Tractor Trailer.
The name of the deceased is not being released by Police.
