RCMP Vulcan attend a Collision involving Truck and Train

Brant Alberta, September 9, 2015 – Members of the Vulcan RCMP detachment attended a collision between a farm vehicle and a train.

The collision occurred shortly after 10:20 am, at the intersection of township road 182 and Highway 804 near the Hamlet of Brant. The Farm truck was hauling a trailer at the time of the crash. The 54 year old male driver of Calgary, was transported to hospital with unknown injuries but is expected to recover.

The train is currently blocking the intersection in the Hamlet of Brant and crews are working to clean up the sight. RCMP are working to determine the contents of the train cars. The investigation is continuing and workers are expected to be on sight for several hours.

RCMP Canmore Investigates Break and Enters; Arrest Warrant for Suspect

Canmore RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with several break and enters to downtown businesses in Canmore.

On June 19, 2015, Canmore RCMP and Calgary RCMP Forensic Identification Section responded to several break and enters to businesses in the 700 block of Main Street. Several doors and windows were smashed and cash was taken. Following the investigation, a male suspect has been identified and Provincial Warrants have been issued for his arrest.

ROYER, SebastianSebastien ROYER, a 39 year old male of no fixed address, is wanted for:

  • Break and Enter with intent;
  • Breaking, entering and committing (2 counts);
  • Mischief under $5,000.

ROYER is described as:

  • Caucasian Male;
  • 165cm (5’4”) tall;
  • 55 kgs (121lbs);
  • Brown hair;
  • Green eyes.

Investigators urge anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of ROYER to contact Canmore RCMP at 403.678.5516.

RCMP Olds – Theft of vehicle and Flight from Police

MCKINNONOlds, AB – On September 8, 2015 Shortly after 1 am,  the Olds RCMP were conducting a theft of truck investigation in the Town of Olds when the vehicle was spotted and police attempted to stop the vehicle but it sped off refusing to stop.  The fleeing vehicle was seen by another on duty police officer and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Francis Dale McKinnon 41 years of No Fixed Address.  This subject is well known to the Olds RCMP and currently Olds RCMP have warrants for this subjects arrest consisting of Theft of Vehicle, Flight from Police, Dangerous Driving and Breaching Court Orders.

McKinnon is also charged with multiple offences relating to theft of vehicle out of Red Deer that occurred in August 2015 and out of Olds for Dangerous Driving and Flight from Police that occurred in April,  2015.
