RCMP & Sheriffs – Airdrie Integrated Traffic Unit – Charges Laid following investigation into Single Vehicle Collision on Highway 2 near Airdrie


RCMP-Crest-insigne1-e1393524295759.jpgThe driver of the 2004 GMC Sierra pickup involved in Sunday’s collision was arrested last night and seven serious criminal code charges have been laid:

49 year old Timothy Gerald WILLEMSEN of Airdrie, Alberta has been charged with:

Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm – Section 255(2) Criminal Code
Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm – Section 249(3) Criminal Code
Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm – Section 221 Criminal Code
Alberta SheriffDriving While Disqualified – Section 259(4) Criminal Code
Breach of Recognizance (not to be in a motor vehicle without the owner present) – Section 145(3) Criminal Code
Breach of Recognizance (not to operate a motor vehicle at any time) – Section 145(3) Criminal Code
Breach of Recognizance (not to consume alcohol) – Section 145(3) Criminal Code

WILLEMSEN will be appearing in Airdrie Provincial Court this morning, sometime after 9am for a bail hearing.

The 49 year old passenger, remains in the Intensive Care Unit of the Foothills Hospital.
