Balzac, Alberta – The RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male involved in a theft from Costco.
At approximately 5:00pm on July 30th, 2014, a male suspected entered the Costco Wholesale Store in Balzac. The male selected a $600.00 upright vacuum, and brought it to the returns counter. The male told the counter staff he had received the vacuum as a gift and wished to return it. When asked for his membership card, the male said it was in his vehicle and departed with the vacuum. The male did not return. Staff quickly realized what had occurred and contacted RCMP, providing high quality video surveillance and staff witness statements.
The suspect is described as;
· Caucasian
· Dark hair
· Approximately 5’7, average build
· Wearing a blue patterned shift with jeans
Other Costco stores in the area have had similar instances with a male matching this description.
