High River – Attempted Break and Enter
On January 24th, 2015 the High River RCMP was made aware of an attempted break and enter that had occurred at 2:00 am. The attempted break and enter occurred at an apartment unit on 4th Avenue just east of Center Street. The home owner advised that two masked persons attempted to break in through his balcony doors using a crowbar and hammer. The persons were confronted briefly by the home owner at which point the persons fled east on 4th Avenue. These persons have yet to be identified.

Okotoks – Tire Slashing
During the night shift, an officer was leaving the office and observed a male in the police parking area of the detachment. The male fled on foot and police located and arrested the male in a nearby parking lot. The male had slashed the tires of three Okotoks Municipal Enforcement vehicles and the tires one RCMP vehicle. Tyler SCHATSCHNEIDER 28 of no fixed address was charged with four counts of Mischief, Identity Fraud, Breaching a Recognizance and Obstructing a Peace Office and is scheduled to appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on Friday, January 30th, 2015.
