Okotoks RCMP seeks public assistance in recent rash of vehicle thefts

Okotoks, Alberta –  Between September 27, 2016 and October 2, 2016, Okotoks RCMP are investigating a number of stolen vehicles and thefts from vehicles, occurring within the Town of Okotoks. During the short time span, at least six vehicles were reported stolen and numerous others rummaged through. It was noted the majority of the vehicles were unlocked.

As a precaution, RCMP would like to remind the public to keep their vehicles locked while unattended and to remove any keys or valuables.

Okotoks RCMP are diligently investigating these matters with the assistance of general investigative section and crime reduction unit.

Okotoks RCMP investigating Arson in the MD of Foothills

Okotoks RCMP– Sometime between 11:00 pm Saturday, October 1st,  2016 and 10:30 am Sunday, October 2nd, 2016, two large tents and golf cart were lite on fire at 96th street East in the M.D. of Foothills, Davisburg Community Hall. A golf cart and three tents were rented for a fundraiser. The suspects drove the golf cart inside the tent. The golf cart was set on fire, destroying two of three tents. At this time,  the estimated damage of the tents is approximately $15,000.  Other items were stolen from the grounds.
