RCMP Make Arrest and Seize Stolen Property, Seeking Rightful Owners

Stolen PropertyAirdrie, Alberta – On Tuesday, January 13th, 2015, Airdrie General Investigative Section and Airdrie Crime Reduction Unit arrested Elia RULLAN, 40, of Airdrie and charged her with 12 criminal charges of theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property.

Between November 2014 and December 2014, Airdrie City RCMP received numerous complaints of parcels stolen from doorsteps after they had been delivered. After an extensive investigation, a search warrant was executed on RULLAN’s Airdrie residence and a large quantity of stolen property was recovered, the majority of which were children’s toys and clothing.

Investigators are still attempting to locate the rightful owners of numerous parcels, and are asking any members of the public who believe their parcels may have been taken to contact the Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7244.

The investigation continues, and additional charges may follow against RULLAN as property owners are identified and property returned.

RULLAN is scheduled to appear in Airdrie Provincial Court on January 29th, 2015.
