RCMP Lay Charges Against Stoney First Nation Resident in Motor Vehicle Collision Against Her Spouse

Cochrane RCMP have laid five charges against 38 year old, Brigette Chiniquay, a residence of the Stoney First Nation after she intentionally ran over her common law spouse on the Stoney First Nation around 8:00pm on Monday, March 23, 2015. The charges are: Aggravated Assault, Fail to Remain at the Scene of a Collision, Driving while Disqualified, Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm and Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm. Mrs. Chiniquay was remanded into custody for a bail hearing today at the Calgary Court Center via CCTV. Her common law spouse remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
