The Lake Louise RCMP are advising the public to be mindful of the winter driving conditions on the Trans Canada, through the mountains. As Environment Canada still has a heavy snow fall warning for the Banff national parks area, plows are busy clearing snow and are sometimes working in tandem. Do not pass while this is happening as there are plow extensions on the ground coming out from the plows that are hard to see, but assist the plows to clear more of the road more quickly. the RCMP are also requesting the motoring public to slow down and give more room for stopping.
The Trans Canada is temporary closed between Golden and Revelstoke in both directions due to a collision. It is unknown when the road will open but drivers are asked to check drivebc.ca for update.
