Cayley, Alberta – On Friday August 28, 2015, High River RCMP, Fire and EMS responded to a complaint of a two vehicle collision in the southbound lanes of highway 2 north of Cayley.
A pickup truck travelling southbound ran into the back of a large truck, which was part of a construction crew. A female passenger of the pickup truck was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Neither driver was seriously injured.
One southbound lane of highway 2 was closed for approximately 1 hour while emergency crews worked to assist the vehicle occupants, and to have the damaged vehicles removed from the highway. The collision remains under investigation at this time.
