On Saturday, December 20th 2014 at approximately 08:10am, High River RCMP members, along with High River Fire and EMS services responded to a complaint of a single vehicle rollover northeast of High River. The location was determined to be just north of 466 Avenue on 176st in the Municipal District of Foothills.
Upon arrival, a red Chrysler Sebring was located on the east side of the road with extensive damage. The vehicle had left the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on it’s roof within the backyard of a residence located along 176 St E.
There were two male occupants in the vehicle and while both had been wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision, they were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
An RCMP Collision Analyst examined the scene and the cause of this collision is still under investigation. It is undetermined at this time if speed and/or alcohol were factors in the collision.
The two males have been identified as 19 yr old Carter Corrigan and 20 yr old Eli Eggli-Gosselin, both of the High River area. Permission was given by the families for the RCMP to release the names of the deceased.
