RCMP High River, Fatal MVC, August 20, 2016

High River, Alberta – On August 20th, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m. High River RCMP, EMS and Fire responded to a single motor vehicle rollover collision located on secondary Highway 543 and 48th Street west. The vehicle, a Ford F-250 pickup entered the ditch and struck and approach causing the vehicle to roll.

Two occupants of the vehicle were ejected resulting in a single fatality of a 45 year old male. The second 24 year old male occupant of the vehicle was transported via Stars Air Ambulance to the Calgary Foothills Hospital with serious injuries in stable condition.

Secondary Highway 543 was shut down for approximately 2 hours for police to investigate the collision and allow Stars Air Ambulance to transport the injured male.

This collision is still under investigation. No charges have been laid at this time. Names of the deceased and victim of the collision will not be released upon the request of the family.
