On October 27th, 2014 the High River RCMP responded to a complaint of persons hunting from a moving vehicle. This incident occurred at a property located to the south of highway 540 on 88 street East just north of Cayley at around 6:00 PM. It was advised that two males, estimated to be in their early twenties, were driving a late 70’s model Chevrolet or Dodge pickup truck. The vehicle is described as being cherry red, having extensive rust on the tailgate and a grill that appears to be hand or spray painted white. The headlights are round and the grill wraps around the headlights. The suspect in the passenger side of the truck was firing a rifle at deer while the vehicle was moving. In doing so the suspect fired a rifle round into the vehicle of the complainant, causing damage to his vehicle. Patrols and neighbourhood inquiries were conducted and to date the RCMP have not been able to locate the suspect vehicle. The RCMP are requesting the assistance of the public in locating the persons responsible.
