Attempted Theft
On Saturday July 9th 2016 at approximately 3:45 pm an unknown male entered the Sobeys grocery store in High River. The male attempted to leave the store with a substantial amount of meat in a cart. When confronted by an employee, the male left the store, abandoning the products outside and leaving in a red sedan, believed to be an older model Ford Taurus. The male is believed to be responsible for two thefts from this location since March.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle with Charges
On July 12, 2016 at approximately 2:30 a.m., High River RCMP members were called to a complaint of theft of fuel in a rural area south of High River. When police arrived they were advised that the suspect had driven to an area further southeast of the location. Police located the suspect vehicle which attempted to flee when emergency lights were turned on. Police were able to strategically position their vehicles, and the suspect driver pulled over and was arrested without incident.
Charges are pending on one male. The vehicle and a licence plate were both reported stolen out of Calgary.
